what we do
The Rotaract Club of Abuja Wuse II
Through the Rotaract program, young adults not only augment their knowledge and skills, but they also address the physical and social needs of their communities while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service.
All Rotaract efforts begin at the local grassroots level and Rotaract clubs have access to many of the resources of Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation.
As one of the most significant and fastest-growing programs of Rotary service, with more than 8,000 Rotaract clubs in some 155 countries and geographic areas, Rotaract has become a worldwide phenomenon.
Rotaractors also often spearhead the formation of Interact clubs and participate in Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. Rotaractors also can go on to become Ambassadorial Scholars or Group Study Exchange team members.
our projects
Serving Beyond Stigmas
The Rotaract Club of Abuja Wuse II is made up of young professionals and students ages 18 to 30 who strive on serving the community. It is one of the main reasons individuals join Rotaract in order to get involved and to give back to the community they live in. Team RCAWii is involved in several initiatives either through volunteership, partnership, or by its own effort. As part of the Rotary family, Team RCAWII is deeply rooted in community service in order to improve the quality of lives of their communities and when selecting a project the club uses Rotary’s areas of focus:
- Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
- Disease prevention and treatment
- Water and Sanitation
- Maternal and Child Health
- Basic Education and Literacy
- Economic and Community Development
With keeping the areas of focus in mind, the Rotaract Club of Abuja Wuse II have several ongoing need base projects throughout the year. These ongoing projects are projects that have been an initiative for RCAWii. We are proud and very grateful to be continuing our work with community by participating throughout the year with these initiatives.
